Being together during social distancing time

The Evangelical School of Theology, which is constituted by students, lecturers and administrative staff, is a community of people who stay in friendly relationships with each other. For the EST students, common Sunday services and prayer as well as spending time together are completely natural. During this difficult time, the students and the EST staff have kept in touch with each other via social media, e-mail and telephone contact.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the EST students have been able to count on the professional support of a counselor provided by the institution and have also benefited from the constant contact of our staff members.

Special care and support were given to the participants of the Intercultural Academy of the Third Age. There were several trainings provided  for the participants which enabled them to engage in  active participation via ATA classes online. The Counteracting social exclusion of seniors, due to difficulties in adapting to the new situation, became a priority for the EST promotion team. At the moment, there has been one meeting within ATA online and others  are currently being planned.

In these difficult times, when the world needs to see and experience the love of Jesus Christ being put into practice as never before, we are very proud of our students and graduates who are professionally involved in medical services. That is why, the Evangelical School of Theology supports the #muremzamedykiem effort, which was started by our graduate Piotr Nowakowski. Piotr Nowakowski is a paramedic himself, who faces all the difficulties and challenges connected with his occupation. This initiative is aimed at raising awareness of people concerning medical work as well as counteracting any symptoms of ostracism against medical staff in general. As the EST community, we strongly oppose any attitudes and manifestations of hostility towards members of the medical staff. We appreciate and thank them for risking their lives to save others.

Please pray for:
  1. Please pray for the fruits of the Holy Spirit in all the members of the EST community. Let the values and attitudes taught to us by our Lord be more and more visible in our everyday lives. Let them be the testimony of His presence in us to others.
  2. Please pray for the EST students who found themselves in tough situation due to the pandemic. Let all the difficulties and hardships be overcome with God’s help.
  3. Please pray for new ideas and strength for EST staff and that the EST programs will be found attractive to many new participants.
