October 2019 marked the tenth anniversary of the inauguration of the Jonathan Edwards
Center–Poland. Looking back, the establishment of JEC-Poland in partnership with JECYale
gave new impetus and direction to its host institution in Poland, the Evangelical
School of Theology (EST).
Today, after ten years, JEC-Poland remains one of EST’s flagship programs. To explain the significance and activities of JEC-Poland, it is necessary to first understand the history of EST and the Polish context in which it operates. Therefore, before moving on to discuss the past, present and future plans and projects of JEC-Poland, we will briefly introduce the Evangelical School of Theology and the beginnings of the Edwards Center in Poland.
