Lectures, meetings, interviews – EST thrives online

Expanding EST online activities, we organized three various online events the week of June 1-5, 2020. They were dedicated to different themes and addressed to various participants. Thus, quite a big number of individuals had the opportunity to get to know about Evangelical School of Theology.

On June 2, there was a lecture dealing with the dispute over the body of Moses (Jude 9). It was led by EST lecturer Professor Kalina Wojciechowska, who is a specialist in biblical studies. The participants could learn about the circumstances of this dispute, the source text for this mysterious episode and interesting conclusions resulting from it. The lecture was part of #EWSTonline classes.

On June 3, there was a meeting with Norbert Palimaka, which was organized by the Institute of Church Development. Norbert Palimaka is the President of the ESPA Foundation and has been involved in many social, humanitarian, voluntary and educational projects in Poland and abroad for many years (the Philippines, Israel, Sweden). He is also a businessman who is passionate about combining business with social activities. He started and has been presiding over the Foundation From Business to Service, which unites Christian businessmen in their efforts to promote Christian values in business. Norbert Palimaka was interviewed by Marek Kucharski who did his best to ask the most difficult questions: Can a crisis bring something good? How can we benefit from the change that life brings unexpectedly? How can we effectively help those who are affected by the crisis? Where to seek help? In his every answer, Norbert managed to include a valuable message giving hope and sharing his Christian views on crucial matters. The meeting was very inspiring and provoking to live the Christian life according to biblical principles.

On June 5, another event was held as part of the Academy of Third Age online activities. Thanks to the Internet, the event was addressed not only to seniors but to everybody who was interested in the issue of religion in present times. The lecture was led by Professor Piotr Lorek, who is well known for showing interesting perspectives and thought-provoking conclusions.

Please pray for:

  1. Wisdom, strength and courage for EST leaders and staff. Let their work be always focused on sharing the Gospel and showing Christian values being put in practice.
  2. The participants of the online activities. Let them be encouraged and inspired by the Good News about Jesus Christ and let it bring good fruits in their lives.
  3. Smooth transition to EST offline activities, as society is getting back to normal functioning. Wisdom for EST staff to keep a good balance between its online and offline activities.
