The Academy of the Third Age (ATA) team received thanks for their work from the Mayor of Wrocław.
On Wednesday, January 18, during a ceremony held in the Old Town Hall, the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, handed letters of thanks to the people involved in activities for the Universities of the Third Age in Wrocław. One of them was the Academy of the Third Age (ATA) team, including among others: EWST President Dr. Wojciech Szczerba, Chancellor Marek Kucharski, Dean Dr. Piotr Lorek, and ATA Leader Dr. Monika Humeniuk.
ATA is an educational and anti-discriminatory project with a religious and intercultural profile. The program offers lectures, workshops, foreign language courses, and classes in art therapy and film therapy. ATA cooperates with experts in different science fields: theology, religious studies, philosophy, biblical studies, cultural studies, ethnology, psychology, pedagogy, and musicology. Invited lecturers and teachers are from the EWST, the University of Wrocław, the Jagiellonian University in Krakov, the University of Warsaw, and the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań.ATA activities have been organized since 2007 by EWST in cooperation and with funding from the City of Wrocław.
