How to get through life’s storms?

This week was exceptional for EST staff in many ways. On June 30, EST staff had a planning meeting, obviously with necessary precautionary measures. We had the opportunity to look closer at the present situation, analyze it, discuss it and decide on the necessary changes. But first of all, we had the opportunity to talk face to face and spend some time together not only virtually. It was a very nice meeting.

At EST, there were also interesting interviews with the participation of the EST Rector and EST Chancellor. On July 1, EST Chancellor Marek Kucharski and his wife Agnieszka had an online meeting with Dorota Mita, who is the Coordinator of Teen Challenge organization in Pabianice. Teen Challenge is a worldwide network of Christian faith-based corporations intended to help teenagers, adults, and families with problems such as substance abuse or self-destructive behavior. Dorota Mita is also a student at EST. Dorota, Agnieszka and Marek talked about problems connected to tough situations. During the interview, Agnieszka and Marek answered the question “How to get through life’s storms?” and other questions as well. They shared their experiences and ways of dealing with life’s tough issues with the audience.

On July 2, EST Rector Wojciech Szczerba had an online interview with Philip Yancey, one of the bestselling Christian writers, a journalist, an editor, and an author of a number of books including ‘What’s So Amazing About Grace?’, ‘Where Is God When It Hurts?’ and ‘The Jesus I Never Knew’. Watching the interview is an awesome experience, both spiritually and intellectually. We really recommend it!

On the same day, EST Chancellor Marek Kucharski had an interview with Dr. Mark Young who is the President of Denver Seminary, a theological educator and pastoral leader. What is interesting, Dr. Mark Young was one of the “fathers” of the Biblical Seminary of Theology in Wroclaw many years ago, which was the predecessor of the Evangelical School of Theology.

Please pray for:

  1. Wisdom and guidance from our Lord as EST seeks to serve during these challenging times.
  2. Let us always look to Jesus when going through life’s storms. Let the difficult times in our lives make us stronger and more faithful to Him.
  3. Let us always remember Jesus’ promise: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Let us learn how to draw strength from our weaknesses and get to know the deep sense of the promise given to us.
