EWST’s Academy of Third Age (ATA) participated in discussion panels and workshops as part of the II Days of Gerontology in Wroclaw. The three-day event brought together researchers, specialists in the fields of senior citizenship, representatives of Third Age Universities, non-governmental organizations and, above all, the seniors who have participated actively and actively in the various modules of the Gerontology Days. The VII Festival of Protestant Culture – “500 Years of Reformation”, was held in Wroclaw, Poland from May 7-14, 2017. Throughout the week in many places of Wroclaw there were a number of events relating to Protestant heritage, past, present and future. Thousands of people came to these events which were also widely reported in the media. On Sunday, May 14, 2017, there was a Jubilee service of the 500 years of the Reformation in the Church of St. Mary Magdalena in Wroclaw. It is the same church where Pastor Johann Hess gave the first Protestant sermon in Wrocław in 1523. This concert was very unique. In the evening of May 13, the hall of the National Forum of Music was filled to capacity as the audience listened to 90 minutes of songs about the Savior, Grace and Faithfulness of the Gospel. Also thanks to the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble (one of the largest Polish folk ensembles), which prepared a special program for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Więcej >>

On Saturday morning, May 13, the MOBIL Reformation bus was officially opened in the Wroclaw Market Square. MOBIL is a special bus which has been visiting European cities for several months. It was available for 36 hours so people could visit the MOBIL and get to know the history as well as the present times of the Reformation. Więcej >>
