2012 Conferences, Lectures, Workshops   January 2012 – The Week of Prayers for Unity of Christians:  This ecumenical event was organized by the Polish Ecumenical Council in Wroclaw and involved churches representing different denominations. EST hosted one of the services on January 9.

May 19 to 27, 2012 – Festival of Protestant Culture: EST organized the fourth edition of the Festival of Protestant Culture in co-operation with Baptist and Pentecostal churches.  The participants included men and women who regularly attend meetings and activities organized by the Academy of Third Age (for seniors).  Three of the events were held on the EST premises.

September 19 to 21, 2012 – Overseas Council International Institute of Excellence: EST hosted this conference in Wroclaw. Participants came from the US and schools in central and eastern Europe. The title of the conference was ‘Courage to be – Theology in the changing market – Church and theological education in post-communist countries’. September 21 to 26, 2012 – Lower Silesian Science Festival: EST participated in this regional annual event and approximately 250 people visited EST to attend lectures, workshops and meet the EST faculty.

November 10-18, 2012 – Christianity and Civil Society: EST launched a new program in cooperation with one evangelical church in Wroclaw and the Institute of Politics at the University of Wroclaw. The aim is to show to a wider public the links between Christian convictions of politicians and its relation to their political engagement. The project is designed for students, believers and academic officials.   The first speaker was Harold Martin Lancaster (former U.S. Congressman, lawyer, consultant and internationally recognized educator). He gave three public speeches (at the University of Wroclaw, at EST and at the Foundation of Mutual Respect District in Wroclaw). Polish Christian politicians will be invited to speak at following editions of this program.
