Protestant Wroclaw

This is a project that is under future consideration as part of the EST Educational Center is promoting Protestantism in Wroclaw and Lower Silesia by developing a virtual portal called Protestant Wroclaw, which would:

• Define and describe Protestantism in its various aspects;
• Track Protestant tradition in Wroclaw or the region of Lower Silesia, starting with the pre-Reformation movement of the followers of John Hus, first Reformers, main Protestant thinkers such as Friedrich Schleiermacher, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Rudolf Otto or Paul Tillich;
• Identify and describe aspects of Protestant culture such as: architecture, music, literature and writings, art, urban space, etc.
• Promote Protestantism now and integrate various Protestant initiatives.

EST believes that this kind of project may answer many questions about Protestantism asked in our city and help to promote EST in a broader sense. We also think that this project may well subscribe to the process of preparation of Wroclaw as the European capital City of Culture in 2016.
